Game Crashes in Full Screen

I get this random Glitch where Full Screen Games crash, and the program freezes, so it gets stuck on Fullscreen Mode. I am unable to do anything to close it without holding the Power Button on the tower (I know its bad for your hard drive but it was the only way to get out of it)

Any solutions to force the Full Screened Game to close?
