Hi all I'm thinking about switching to ubuntu but so far I can't find a good solution for gaming. So, my question is, are there anything like Virtual PC or VMWare on linux? Something that can have 2 OS running at once. Thanks alot.
PS: first post :)

VMWare runs on Linux but it's not suited for gaming.

There is a version of VMWare for Linux. I used it to do windows programming for two semesters at school ;)
However, it can't do hardware accellerated 3D like OpenGL or DirectX. You would have to dual boot to play windows games (I keep windows around on my desktop for this purpose).
You could also try Transgaming's Cedega, which is basically an extension of the Wine project, and it implements DirectX API calls. Compatability varies from game to game, however.

I've seen cedega and it looked promising until it came out. I guess I'll have to actually experiment with them when i get the cds from shipit... Oh well thanks anyways.

Have a go with vmplayer too. Is a free version of vmware but does'nt save information back on the virtual disk so you'll need to install the game and create a vmdk.
