The following thread was not written by an expert-English speaking person, please keep that in mind. ;)

Hello there. :KS
I've just installed Ubuntu 8.10 (again). Jaunty Jackalope slowed down my computer, not to mention over-heating, but that's another story.
So, I'm on Intrepid Ibex again. I've updated it and everything works (I even managed to make my graphic card driver and wireless work together, something I'm very proud of), except.... There's always something not working, right? I have a 'brightness-issue'. When I turn on my computer, the display dims and I have to adjust the brightness over and over again. It's not that I'm really suffering because of that or that my fingers hurt because I have to click a few times, but it's irritating and I like things better when they work properly. So, does anyone have a simple solution or any idea what might be wrong?

And another random question- will it be possible to upgrade directly from 8.10 to 9.10?
