New Posts button disappears

When I view this forum at work (IE), I have a button on the top brown bar for New Posts. When I view this from home (Firefox) I don't have this button at all, and the layout is slightly different. Even on another computer at home (IE) I don't get this button. I'm logged in on all of the computers, and just in case I've checked my user options, but I just don't understand why I seem to be seeing a slightly different version of this forum on my two computers than I see at work. I really really like the New Posts button so I'd really like to understand why it is sometimes there and sometimes not. There are other differences as well, such as the location of the reply button (on the top on my two computers, on the bottom at work).

different browsers interperet pages differently if you try iton a different browser say netscape it will also look different.

Hi,
in Quick Style chooser change to ubuntu_brown or kubuntu_blue instead of default.
