Could someone recommend a good spyware detection program for ubuntu?

There would first need to be spyware... You could run clamav I suppose.

I have never seen spyware on Linux. If you install software only from trusted sources and secure your browser (NoScript) you will be fine.

I agree with the people who have posted above. Never have seen on Ubuntu. Unless you are dual booting with a Windows system and are sharing files with Windows machines. But even then it is unlikely. Or you don't want the files to harm a Windows machine you are moving them to.

Thanks for the above posts. I have only recently migrated over from a piece of feces OS(aka Vista) and am new to Ubuntu. Strange but liberating not having to download/update numerous types of security software. Adios to spyware.
