Hi,

Has anyone seen an app that lets you zoom in and out of the desktop. I am thinking you could use your scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in and out while over the desktop background, just like in firefox or google earth, but on the desktop. It would be really handy for my low res eeepc, but I think I would also use it on my regular desktop.

Any pointers to apps or hacks would be appreciated. Preferable integrated with Gnome.

Thanks,
Kim

Don't know if thats what you're looking for. Metisse is a window manager(?) usable with gnome. Eaglemode is a zoomable "software".

Thanks zhocchao. I just noticed that compiz has a zoomable option. I think I just need to use a virtual screen size and zoom out.
