AMD Phenom 9500+ Quad Core
3GB RAM
8800GT 512 Video
Ubuntu 9.04 Guest
Vista Home Premium SP2 Host
VirtualBox 3.0.0 r49315
Pae = Off
AMD/V (have tried both on and off, boots faster and runs better on)
1024MB set aside for VM
128M video RAM set aside
8GB dynamic HD set aside
Guest Additions installed and working
After installing Ubuntu as a guest system. I got everything working fine. I could even watch flash video. However, when I try to do a system update the VM freezes and I have to shut it down. It will run fine as long as I don't update.
When I do an update from the command line, ubuntu-docs download to about 8% and then the VM freezes. Don't know if it's related.
CPU usage is about 25% while running the VM.
