Hi Friends,
I got a Compaq 2200 Laptop from my relative.
I wanted to install Ubuntu 8.10 on it.
When i boot i'm able to see the first screen of selecting the language,
after that a blank window apeares with no text or anything, the whole installation freezes from then...
I've tried to kept the thing ON for allmost 30 min. but nothing happens.
Can anyone guide me as to how can I install it on the laptop.
PS.. I've installed Ubuntu 8.10 on much older laptops & it installs preety easily.
