View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lost composure!

Well not exactly. More lost Composer.
I want to start Mozilla Composer from the command line but I have not been able to determine the path to it - despite having used dpkg and find.
Not sure if I have been using them (dpkg and find) incorrectly or if Composer, at the file level, is called something else.
Appreciate any assistance.

There is a new version of Composer called Kompozer. You ought to try it. It's "improved".

I guess the bit I was missing was ... why ever was I doing this.
Well ... Firefox supposedly allows one to look at a "view source" of a web page in the editor of your choice. And my choice was Composer.
And I assumed, wrongly, that I had the wrong path since "mozilla-suite -edit" (the command that opens it up in terminal) always resulted in me just/only getting the default editor.
I think I have now concluded that Firefox just can't handle the name (mozilla-suite -edit) and, if there is a way to overcome that, I have yet to find it.
All that said, thanks for your responses.

Firefox doesn't come with the mozilla composer. You have to install the mozilla suite for that.

I realize that.
But, as I indicated, I am able to open Composer from the command line (ergo I do have it installed already!) using "mozilla-suite -edit".
Firefox is not so disposed ...
