Up until the update to 8.10, Dell has been providing versions of the hsfmodem drivers that allowed full-speed modem operation. After updating to 8.10, I was able to get the modem working by downloading the modem driver from linuxant.com, but this driver is restricted to 14.4Kbps. Is Dell no longer fully supporting the 56K modem in this machine? It is not listed as a known problem on the Dell Wiki for Ubuntu 8.10 as it has for previous versions. If I want a fully operational modem, do I need to downgrade to 8.04? Please advise.
