...runs on linux with Cedega 5.0.1, but Starshatter 4.5.0 doesn't work.

What do you mean what do I mean ?? :)

I mean Starshatter ver 4.0.3 runs on linux using cedega. Starshatter is a space combat simulator from Destroyer Studios published by Matrix Games. The current version is 4.5.0 but it will not run, at least not out of the box. But the prior version 4.0.3 does work on my breezy install using cedega 5.0.1 and that is that for that.

Doesn't that just annoy you when a patch to a game makes it unplayable? I am pretty sure Starshatter is also the name of a Transformer :D Can't find much information on that, but then I'm too lazy :D

Is the game good? I hadn't heard about this one 'til now.

Got the demo installed and working like a charm on Cedega, but I've not really tried playing it for serious. It reminds me of Wing-commander just much more advanced.

I am pretty sure Starshatter is also the name of a Transformer
Still got a transformer from childhood make in the mid 80's :cool:

Sweet! I wish they had made the Transformers game that had come out for the PS2 for the PC. Sometimes it sucks to only play games on a PC. Oh well, hopefully the PS2 emulator (especially the linux version) will work great in the near future.

I tried compiling PCSX2 for linux because some of the plugins wouldn't work, and still couldn't get it to work :(
