Greetings all,
I've have a personal project I've been considering for long time. It involves using linux to run a web server using OpenEMR (http://sourceforge.net/projects/openemr), PHP and MySQL.
Backup a sec here, I've had all this running on Fedora Core 2 some time ago and what I learned about linux comes from that and using Fedora Core 4 as a desktop for the last year. I've enjoyed learning what I have learned. And I've learned that I, an old Windows tech, can get through it. The whole idea isn't new, there are at least a few companies supporting this software for physicians here and there. What I would like to see, however, is a dead simple configuration that a marginally computer-savvy physician can enter into and support (with minimal help).
So, the question is, is ubuntu a good choice for the OS?
It seems to be the right community. Any thoughts appreciated and thanks in advance.
Tom
