Hi, I'm new in this forum and in ubuntu too, so any information will be helpfull.
I want to set up a personal area network using bluetooth between a pc and a mobile phone (htc touch). What I need to install in ubuntu in order to have PAN support?
Thanks in advance

Hi htc-bt,

Have you looked at the following howtoforge article? IT may be of some use:

http://www.howtoforge.com/bluetooth_pand_debian_etch

The comments section has made some great points and advice. Hope it helps!

Thanks for your reply dbqp.
I've seen that tutorial, but when it says to change some things in /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf , that file doesnt exist! I have ubuntu 8.10.
Any ideas?

Have you seen this post? Looks like others have run into this with 8.10.
