I can unsubscribe from most threads, but I can't seem to unsubscribe from this one:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=990978

When I click "User CP" (http://ubuntuforums.org/usercp.php)
and click the "Unsubscribe" link (see 1st image), I see the notification window saying I've been unsubscribed (see 2nd image).

But then I'm returned to the "User CP" page, and the thread is still there (same as 1st image).

And from the list of subscriptions? Looks strange..

Had this problem a while back...never fixed itself, but the threads in question ran their course and died off.

Original thread: Thread Subscription Wackiness (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1199899)

When I click "User CP", "view all subscribed threads", the column with the heading "Notification" says "None" for all threads except the one from which I can not unsubscribe.
Instead of "None", the problem thread says "Instant" in the Notification column.

What does "Instant" mean, and how I can change it to "None"?

@masux594, that's one cute avatar. It makes me smile.

@jenkinbr, thanks for the input. I promise not to post in "Recomendaciones para netbook" if you promise not to post in "nVidia latest Drivers - How to install - (180.xx - 185.xx - 190.xx)" :lolflag:

"instant" means that it is a thread that delivers an email instantly on a new post to the thread.

Ok, thanks for the information, jenkinbr.

Hm. I appears I can change other thread's notification from "None" to "Weekly" and back to "None", but nothing I do seems to change the problem-thread notification type. It's stuck on "Instant".

Hi unutbu.

The other way is to view all subscribed threads, check the box next to

thread you want to unsubscribe to, and scroll to the bottom of the list.

Change the "selected threads" box to "delete subscription". Click "go".

Worth a try. I use it to delete a number of threads at once.

Also, the very bottom, right corner of the page should read "bilberry, not lingonberry".

Hi hansdown, thanks for looking into this.

I click view all subscribed threads, and click the checkbox next to the problem-thread (see attachment #1).
I go to the bottom of the page and select "delete subscription" (see attachment #2), and click "Go".

The page refreshes, but the problem-thread remains (same as attachment #1).

It was worth a try.

Ubuntu Geek will probably know what to do.

Very strange though.

This issue has been around for about 3 weeks now, just after a bit of downtime, I believe.
