Hello,

One thing is really missing in Gnome : A klipper like
A small applet which can store all the last clipboard

I know an app already exist : Gnome Clipboard Manager. But it doesn't seem to be in Ubuntu and to be maintened too...

It is VERY useful, and it's REALLY annoying to loose data when an app like that can save it so easily...
KDE has it, XFCE has it, etc.... why not gnome ?

First, the gnome-clipboard-daemon seems to be missing. ( I thought it was included in breezy but apparently not).
So, when you close an application you can't paste what you've copied !!! Even MS Windows can do that !!!!

So, I hope gnome-clipboard-daemon will be included in Dapper and an panel applet to store several clipboard will be included too

thx

klipper will work in gnome

sudo apt-get install klipper

You can also install the Gnome Clipboard Manager with these instructions

It's only the clipboard daemon....
So it is just for copying ONE thing when the application is closed. (Like MS windows)
Why isn't it included in Ubuntu by default !!!???
Same question for clipboard manager...

oops sorry, the daemon... my bad typo

I guess the only solution at present is klipper. A gnome clipboard manager would only be included in Dapper if it was being actively developed for gnome.
