How do I mark a thread as "SOLVED"? Where is the button? or what must I do?
AND
How do I thank a person? Where is the button?
Two very simple questions. I'm sure it makes me look new. But I am new. And I have now been searching for the answers for a long time. I believe it should be in the FAQs for the forum. But maybe it's not asked frequently enough. ;)

There used to be a SOLVED button... but it broke
Simply add [SOLVED] to the title of your thread.
Don't know about thanks... you could pm them i guess.

Go to your first post > edit > advanced > type SOLVED in front of your thread title > save.
As for saying thanks, just make a post on the same thread thanking the contributors.

But I just recently read about a "thanks icon". ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4306459#post4306459 - LaRoza). Is that no longer in existence? or..? :-k

+1
Both of the thanks and mark as solved fetures have been disabled.
Sticky: Where are the "Thank you" and "solved" features? (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1044714)

Oh. Hmmm... Interesting. Well, that answers the questions and makes my poll look stupid! But I see someone added another option to the poll. Can I change my vote? Hahaha...
I guess this is solved.
Thanks to you all! *clicks nonexistent "Thanks!" button* ;)

Oops...should have read the thread before voting. I was trying to mark one of my recent threads as solved, and I couldn't find the button. Now I know why. I really need to spend more time reading here ;)
