Getting KDE 4.2 on Hardy

I was just wondering if there's a package somewhere that would allow KDE 4.2 on Hardy. And if there is no pre-compiled package, how do I compile my own version?

It would be much easier if you upgraded to Jaunty. Do you have a special reason not to upgrade? You could try to install the package kubuntu-kde4-desktop, but there's a good chance this will no longer work. Besides, this is probably not the latest version of KDE.

I tried installing Jaunty, but after booting from the live cd it kept me in low graphics mode. Any way I could fix that?
