a few posts ago, i inquired about running ubuntu in Vbox in osx. if that's somewhat challenging, how about using WUBI in a boot camp install of windblows? is that as easy and straightforward as using WUBI in a native windows environment?

Hey Russell,
What Wubi does is add an OS selection screen to your standard BIOS startup. Because Macs do not support standard black-screen BIOS, this isn't a possibility even within Wind(bl)ows.

lol, i should have followed up on this sooner but i forgot about it...

well, i finally got my you-know-what together and backed my stuff up and used wubi on my boot camp partitions and i'll be darned if it didn't actually work! works like a champ, in fact.

and yes, you get the black screen where you choose ubuntu or windows, and everything. in fact, i have two different macs, both running snow leopard:

one running winxp in bootcamp with wubi/karmic
the other running win7RC in bootcamp with wubi/karmic
