Add a small speed-up to your system

I looked at this thread ( http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=107856 ) & did a simple change to my fstab by adding noatime to the options for my /partition. I figured that adding a timestamp everytime a file was accessed was not completely needed--My system has sped up "slightly" (no benchmarking done) , just "feels" more responsive--I also added prebinding not long ago.

Any other good speed tips anyone??
