Hello all-
At one point I was considering making my own ubuntu flavor: psychbuntu. The concept is that many people in the social sciences would DIE for ubuntu + all the potential apps they'd want: PSPP, R, Referencer, Pybliographer, etc.

Now, im interested in writing a distro independent script that will install all of these from source. If you go look at Ubuntu Science
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuScience and look at the Statistics, Word Processing, and Bibliography Tools, that's exactly what I'm interested in installing in said script. The distro's I'd want it to work on are:
1. Ubuntu (a must, obviously)
2. Arch
3. Sabayon

As those are the distos I use most frequently.
It's got to work for ubuntu so that I could write easy instructions on how to get everything working with the script for my new coverts.

Can I get some direction on how to accomplish this?

Thanks
