View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't change display resolution

Hi all,

Re installed 9.04 the other day with my new ATI H4850 graphics card in.

When I try to change the display resolution and the whole PC freezes up. The display panel starts to open, freezes, and the system monitor applet goes crazy. Have to force the blank display panel to quit.

I've got the ATI driver's already functioning and installed.

Any suggestions please folks?

Fixed it, there's a rather good thread on better ATI drivers overs in the installation forum - if anyone needs :)
