\\:D/.
Before I dive in a purchase, on June 9th (I can't wait), I will receiving a custom made laptop from Red Barn computers. ubuntu 9.04, pre-installed.

The question I have is if anyone has had experience with installing a eSATA drive, with the appropriate eSATA cable (different than a SATA cable), and have it working with ubuntu.

I will have a dual boot scenario, but I plan to stay in ubuntu

I plan on relying mostly on this 1tb or 1.5tb NTFS formatted (mostly)to story my data files.

Please let me know if you have any experience with ubuntu using eSATA drives and taking advantage of their speeds which top out at 3gbs (as opposed to 480mg for USB II.

Thanks in advance.
