View Full Version : [ubuntu] mic & airport problems on macbook 1,1

I've got Jaunty running on my macbook 1,1.
After going through the steps on the 1,1 Jaunty support page, I've got almost everything working.

here are my questions:
1 - I have been unable to get my internal mic to work. The documentation suggested enabling the "mux" channel on the mixer.

Whenever I put the volume up on the "mux" channel, and un-mute the mic button, the preference doesn't save when I exit the volume control preferences. Is there something I'm missing?

I would also like to be able to use the line-in, which I have also been unable to get working.

2 - I am using the proprietary "madwifi" driver for my wireless. I tried the default, but it was causing the computer to freeze up while connecting to my home network. the madwifi driver is much better, but when the computer wakes up from suspend, my wifi can't reconnect until I restart the computer.

The same goes for when I disable wireless and the re-enable it. Somehow the driver isn't able to turn itself back on properly. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a fix?

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks
Drew
