Does it work for you? It gives me dependency problems (xlib not installed).
How can I fix it?
PS. Can somebody show his repositories that he uses for Dapper?

Hi, I'm totally newbie in ubuntu but I downloaded xlibs from breezy repos and installed it with dpkg and it worked out all right. Here's the link for it:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/breezy/libs/xlibs
This is probably the wrong way of doing it but it seemed to work ok and it didn't break anything as far as I know.
Also (since we're dealing with cedega) if you're using nvidia card there is a bug in the 8xxx drivers so it doesn't allocate more than 32mb of memory so you may want to use older driver. Unfortunately when installing older driver you have to do it manually (couldn't find old drivers from any repos). Ok this is easy, especially you don't even need to use the old gcc-3.4 since the new kernel in dapper is compiled with gcc-4.0. There is how-to for this (latest nvidia drivers). But the nvidia installer installs the glx drivers to wrong place and the glx won't load. I guess something changed when dapper upgraded to xorg 7.0. So you have to copy the drivers from /usr/X11R6/lib/modules to /usr/lib/xorg/modules. I'm not sure which files you need to copy, atleast the libglx* from extensions/ and probably nvidia* from drivers/. I also copied everything else that the nvidia installer created under X11R6 directory.
As I said I'm new to all this and there is probably better ways of doing this. I just thought I'd share my experiences with installing older nvidia drivers (7676) since I struggled with it for several hours before getting it to work.
Edit: Just wanted to add this link http://transgaming.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5072. I had problems running the cedega video system test (it said it failed the OpenGL Direct rendering test even though 3d acceleration was working and glxgears and everything worked ok). Using those instructions I got the system test to pass the opengl thing too. There is also more info about the bug in the nvidia 8xxx drivers in transgaming forums. Though for the record, the games worked even though the test failed and editing that file to pass the test didn't change anything - for all I've noticed. I just wanted my system to pass all the tests :)

Really weird. I'm running Cedega just fine with Cedega 5.0.3 and latest Nvidia drivers (I have GF 4200Ti and have compiled drivers on my own)...everything runs fine. I only play WoW and I use D3d since it's faster, but it also works with OpenGL - I've tried it and played just this weekend. Maybe its a bug in Cedega when using in combination with a game you play?

Here is the link concerning the nvidia bug. http://transgaming.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4981
At least if I use the latest nvidia drivers from nvidia website or the latest drivers from dapper repos (both 8xxx) I get AGP mem available (MB) 32 in cedega Edit\ System/Hardware information. But with older drivers I get 112 (which is correct). I use cedega 5.0.1. and have GeForce 6600Gt card. I guess it could be card specific problem.
