Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE - no sound

I have just bought a creative sound card , a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE, and im getting no soud at all, it is recognize in lspci but it just doesnt work, can anybody help me please,
it also appears in the volume control as CA106 but no matter what i do with the controls i get no soud ..
