yep, seamonkey is the go

istall it via applications, add remove and search on seamonkey

put a tick in the box and click apply and let it d/l it from net

once installed click interent and click seamoneky

down the lower left there is a few icons, put your corser over them , one says composer, the other says navigator

click the composer one and you have a WYSIWYG editior, what you see is what you get

if you need templates, fireup google and type in

open source web template

there is THOUSANDS of free templates you can use to make your web site with

have fun

Your host should supply you with FTP information, use an FTP client to upload it to the server. Aside from that I'd suggest not making a page from scratch. A nice CMS or blog would be better for a simple page so you don't have to code anything or deal with uploading and permissions. An account with Blogger or Wordpress would be ideal for this situation, and you can redirect your domain to another hosting service for a blog or maybe your host already has some blogging software installed. Lots of free and easily editable templates too. Cheers!
