View Full Version : [other] Changing Ardour's default theme?

Well, Audacity just fouled up on me again, and I have decided to completely give up on it, because it's not worth the hassle of getting it to record without clipping. In fact, it was clipping even with recording levels set to no more than about 2-3 percent or so, and therefore, I've decided I've had enough of Audacity.

I looked at several alternatives and decided to go with Ardour, but I can't stand its default appearance. Is it just me or am I the only one on here that doesn't like Ardour's default black theme? How does one change that?

Sorry, but I have NEVER liked predominantly black GTK themes AT ALL, and this drives me nuts! Any help on changing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx in advance,
Fred in St. Louis

PS -- better yet, is there a way to make Ardour use MY theme settings in GNOME, for a more uniform appearance? (BTW, I'm running the latest Linux Mint).

The place to edit this is inside Ardour, open the Window menu and choose the 'Theme Manager'. Here you can easily toggle the light theme, or even create a custom theme.
