xmame troubles

I installed xmame 0.86-1 (xmame-common, xmame-sdl, xmame-svga , xmame-tools, and xmame-x) with synaptic. When I attempt to launch xmame, I get this error.

I also do not know to what directory I should copy the roms that I own.

I found the solution in a thread that I had missed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now if I can figure out how to get into full screen mode........
