Greets,
Did you DL and install from the Dell Jaunty v9.04 .iso? I had no probs going that way. I also believe I get slightly better sound volume using pulse audio. Getting enough sound punch out of this box is bout the only challenge I have had so far.

NO! weres that! lol I had no idea. Now that I'm 9.04, how can I Fix that? And will I always have to wait on Dell to put together an OEM Disk? Is there an alternative. Thank you for your reply.

Go to www.ubuntu.com and download 9.04 desktop edition. There is complete instructions on how to burn the ISO to a CD. Once you get it on CD put the CD in your computer and restart it. You will be doing a complete reinstallation of 9.04. Fresh installs usually seem to do better than upgrading.

The "Dell" flavor of the Jaunty .iso has a link in the very first sticky when you enter the Dell Ubuntu Support section of the forum.
Good luck.

Well the problem is probbaly just a kernal thing right? is there a keneral image or modual I can copy off the dell OEM disk? Or can I just grab the modual seprately? The goal here is not to reinstall and lose all my configuerations, and data. Is that possible?
