I am currently looking into Fax server options and have looked at analogue and Fax Over IP. Can anyone explain the benefits of going with FOIP technology instead of an Intellegent Fax board (analogue)?

No telephone charges? Would that not be just internal use? The Fax would need to go out onto the PSTN at some point if faxing external company's? ALso can you explain the quicker aspects?

It seems this type of solution is very handy for large company thats have offices overseas, thats where savings would be made. I have realised that installing a FOIP solution via a virtual server would benefit us supporting a seemless failover.
