See : Ubuntu Security - Ubuntu Forums (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=510812)

Since the question has been asked and answered, and because this is a FAQ, and becasue these threads tend to drift off topic, -> moved to recurring discussions.

Welcome to Linux.

I wouldn't say 100%, but maybe 99,9999999999999%.:p

Antivirus for Linux actually protect you against viruses for Windows, so having an antivirus on Ubuntu is only useful (but not actually needed) if the Ubuntu computer is in the same network as Windows computers.
