My controlpanel at my ISP's webserver has an URL like this:

http://webserver.my-isp.com:8086

The problem is that this page doesn't show up in my browser unless I disable my firewall. I use guarddog, and don't want to switch to another front-end.

What can I do to see this page with the guarddog-firewall enabled?
What does the ":8086" in the URL mean? Is it refering to a port number?

Best regards

yup the :8086 is the port number for the service you are connecting to.

Thanks for your info, ned.b.

If :8086 is the port number for the service I am connecting to, what should I do to see this page with the guarddog-firewall enabled?
Open the port?
If yes, how do I do that?

In guarddog I have tried to make a new zone for the site, and enter its url in this zone, but it doesn't work. I've been reading the documentation on Guarddogs website, but I'm really lost here.

Anyone who know what to do?

Hello, again.

Well, nobody seems to know.

Have I posted in the wrong forum?
Should it go somewhere else? Desktop support maybe?
