So I've downloaded the ipcheck python script and ran it. It seems to work fine. Then I've updated my netgear router to accept the hostname etc ....

The domain name doesn't work unfortunately though. Can anyone help me troubleshoot it ?

How long have you had your Domain name with this company? In my case it took a few days for it to show up. As far as your dynamic IP, you can always go to the site and change it manually. Another point, If you move to a different ISP with a totally new IP your script will be ignored by Dyndns. After all what would keep anyone bent on sabotage to change some elses DNS info?

well, I guess I could wait around for it to be put up. Did anyone else experience a delay on their dyndns subdomains ?

The server is on my computer at home so there aren't any issues with ISP's or anything like that.

DNS changes take a while to propagate through the internet. How long it takes depends on a lot of things, but it's normal for it to take at least 2 days.
