Personaly I thought they had been around longer, but hey seems they are only 1 year older than me! lol (my 19th today)

As far my memory goes (if it does) I was into computers round this time UK, the first virus was created to protect copying games,although again as far as I remember it was not malicious just popped up a message,
Now it could have been a zx81 this frst appeared on, in the UK anyway,we kinda have a seperate history as far computers go, or it could have even been the amatrad and for some reason I beleive this virus was created before 1986.
Maybe its reference to a true virus where the one I reffering to might have been considered content protection
But im sure it wasnt a MAc.

Maybe I ought to do some googling just refresh my own memory.
