View Full Version : Cedega Sounds Bad

Every time I play a game with Cedega, my sounds are terrible.. Everything sounds like a "fuzzy TV." (you know.. a channel with all static)
I checked the Cedega forums and nothing was suggested for a fix. I mostly play World of Warcraft, but jump on UT2k4 sometimes too.
:confused:
Any settings or commands or a config file that I can edit to help with this? Unfortunately, since my sound is build into the motherboard, I have no idea what chipset it is. If you need to know, you may have to walk me through finding out. :)
thanks in advance!

Try to change your ~/.transgaming/config file to:
[WinMM]
"Drivers" = "winealsa.drv"

are you running ut2004 in cedega? if you are, you dont need to. there is a gnu/linux installer on the first disc that renders the game natively playable in gnu/linux. i personally have it installed with the editiors choice expac, cbp1, cpb2-1. cpb2-2 + the latest gnu/linux patch. it works great.

Yes UT2004 works great on Linux, better than Windows I would say. Rock solid too

Well, I'm not running the full retail game.. just the free demo that you can play 1 level online. (I'm cheap hehe)
