on the description of many packages i see that canonical provides support until 2010.
so what is happing after 2010?
im just curius

I'd imagine they'd decide whether to add those packages and support to the newer releases Repo's. They way I get it, every new version, like 8.10 to 9.04 moves the repo's to the next version up. Such as right now, the repo's are for 8.04 and up. I don't think 7.10 has any access normally to the repo's now. Not sure though, could be wrong. :)

I'd imagine you have Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope right? That year is when the support for the version of Jaunty Jackalope is discontinued, and you will have to upgrade to the newer version to be able to download updates for your system.
