About 1 out of every 5 times I login to Ubnutu (Intrepid Ibex), the display resolution resets from 1600x900 to 800x600. I've set the screen resolution using Preferences>>Display and when this happens suddenly 1600x900 isn't an available choice from the Display menu. When I reboot everything goes back to normal. I've found a few threads about similar problems but none really give a solid solution. What could be causing the resolution to incorrectly load from time to time? If I couldn't get the proper display size at all then it would be a little eaiser to diagnose. By the way I use an onboard video chipset, Intel GMA 3100, on an ASUS P5pkl-cm mobo.
