Yahoo problem

hello
i have a problem
all my ports are open on modem
yahoo clients worked fine under windows
i installed today ubuntu 9.04 with all updates,video drivers
started pidgin,added my account but i does not connect
not even on kopete

what can i do ?

There have been many users lately (including me) that have had yahoo connection problems lately in Pidgin.

Many of us were able to connect after changing one of the settings.
Pidgin: Accounts > Manage Accts > Choose your yahoo account > Advanced

Change "Pager server" to:
cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com

it works,but last week i installed ubuntu it worked without this
it was perfect

what is the problem ?

this happens only with certain countries i feel.. the scs.msg.yahoo.com works at some places but not the others!!
