New logo needed for new ubuntu site - your help needed!

I need a new logo for an ubuntu site I am creating, please see this thread for details:

I was wondering if someone which a little more creativity than me could create somethign similar to the ubuntu forums logo.

The site is going to be myubuntu.org. It would be great the the logo was in brown and blue for ubuntu and kubuntu.

I have attached a mockup for the site, (I am using the kubuntu logo currently :)

Are you looking for a "logo" or a masthead type of piece for the top of the page?

yeah thats right, a replacement to the kubuntu logo in the mockup. Maybe the ubuntu logo, and next to it have 'myUbuntu'

I really want something that blends really well into the forums and main ubuntu site.

Do you tihnk you will be able to help me out?

You're welcome. :p I just need to know the hex color codes for the ubuntu page, and I can do that up for ya real easy.

I will probably using the ubuntu brown (yul) colours. Once I have the page set up I will send you the colours.

Jolva, nice logo, but I don't know why you made the kubuntu logo so blurry. It's distracting, so I sketched up my own example of the logo in Gimp using the kubuntu crystal logo available on the kubuntu wiki, then applying some sharpening filters to the top (as even the given logo from kubuntu is too blurry at the top of the text).
