I've just managed to convince my brother to install ipcop as his router on a AMD k6-2 as he needs to bandwidth throttle and provide users on his network with a quota.
Now hes had to go with smoothwall instead due to his usb modem and hes only had it up for a short time hes already admited liking it and finds it extremely stable infact hes said it feels as stable as a oak tree.
I've told him to keep it patched and he'll be ok but I'm actually surpised as hes said only good things about it.
Who knows he might get to like the linux command line hes already stated he doesn't like vista.
With me running ubuntu as my main os I think he'll follow
