I've been having trouble syncing my 3rd generation nano ipod to linux for a while now but I've managed to settle for using gtkpod on account of amarok doesn't seem to like my ipod. This worked fine for the most part. I updated my music as little as possible because it was a hassle and everything worked out ok. The issue that I've been running into lately is that the files I have coded in ogg or m4a aren't transferring properly to my ipod. I'm using the default scripts that came with gtkpod-aac and when I do the ipod sync everything looks to be ok. The only trouble is that when I go on my ipod to play those files which had to be converted they don't play. The ipod just skips to the next song in the playlist. Does anyone have any experience with these problems? Maybe better scripts I can use? I feel like there is something obvious I am overlooking.
