Just received the 15n two days ago. Out of the box set up was easy and wireless worked perfect. Now it seems like wireless is disabled and I don't know if there is a setting to turn it on. The menu option is grayed out. in Users&Groups my user has the options to connect to wireless devices.
I am fairly technical and messed around with Ubuntu for a while now but still consider myself a beginner. This is my first full Ubuntu machine.

Additional problem..headphone jack does not work. Is this a possible setting or is it a defect?

OK...I think that I figured this out...The function Keys are also control keys for volume, wireless etc...The F2 key turns wireless on/off as it primary function. Assuming it must have been hit by mistake.

Still not sure about the Headphone Jack? any thoughts?

Double click the speaker icon on the top menu bar. Make sure all the different devices have the volume turned up and make sure they are not muted. Under the volume control for each device there is a small speaker you can click on to mute/unmute. If you see an X then it is muted. Try that and see if it works.

strangely enough it was only turned up about 80%. Turned it up all the way and BAM all good now.

Looking forward to posting more about this Dell Ubuntu 15n
