Hi All,

When I was a Windows user I used to use SolveigMM Video Trimmer but now that I need to trim (split & join) some videos I miss so much this easy & straightforward program. Is there any equivalent out there for Linux? I've been googling up but I haven't succeed so far... :(

you can top & Tail in Avidemux, but for more in-depth editting I use ProjectX.

Hi Steve,

Before posting this question I tried Avidemux and it does not look so straightforward in first place; I tried to trim a video clip but I got messages saying something about that the sound was not working... I'm looking for a more simple application, I know nothing about video editing, I just want to trim/join some parts of videos clips I'm interested in.

Thanks for you answer :)

Hi Jerrys,

I also tried Open Movie Editor few days ago, but at least, with Avidemux, I could open my video file; with Open Movie Editor I'm still looking for that option  what means it's not so easy as SoveignMM
