Hi,
I am intending on reinstalling and repartitioning my main pc.
It currently has an 80GB HD - i may add another drive in a couple of months depending on how i get on with space.
I would like to use uStudio but having tried it on my other pc, i cannot get my wireless to work - i have the same wifi card in both pc's. Wifi works out of the box in a standard 9.04 install.
i have been considering two options and would by glad to hear your opinions on both. I don't even know if both are possible.
Option A -
4 partitions :
10GB XP NTFS
10GB Ubuntu 9.04 Ext4
1GB Swap
59GB /Home Ext3
Then install the RT-Kernal and uStudio packages onto the standard 9.04 install. Am i right in thinking i can just select the RT kernal on boot when i want to use Rosegarden an midi, and boot with the standard kernal for general use?
Option B -
5 Partitions :
10GB XP NTFS
10GB Ubuntu 9.04 Etx4
10GB uStudio 9.04 Ext4
1GB Swap
49GB /Home Ext3
Would i get away with reducing the size of the XP and Ubuntu partitions to make the /home bigger? I would be using one if the Ext(?) drivers, can't remember which one i am using.
