I wanted to start learning photoshop a little while ago so I downloaded the win7 RC and fired it up. It's been about a month and its pissing me off already, so I'm not going back to windows but now I want to continue my foray into graphics, but with photoshop dominating the industry like it does I'm just not interested in learning gimp.
After messing with photoshop cs2 and wine, I was very happy to stumble across a reference to gimpshop in a forum somewhere. There isn't a .deb available for 64 bit, so I compiled it myself, but whenever I try to run it tells me "Failed to execute child process "gimp-remote-2.2" (No such file or directory)". I've looked around for a gimp-remote package but haven't found one yet, I figure that means I need to recompile with that package or something. I've been digging through the readme and install notes, but I was wondering if someone knew what this meant.
