1525 inspiron fan noise

Hey there,
Just bought a dell 1525 inspiron. I installed jaunty (64 bits) and everything worked fine except the fan. It starts every 10 mins or so and it is very noisy!!!. Is there anything to fix this? I found some threats mentioning dellfan and i8kfan but I am reluctant to use them because I do not want to mess with the cpu. What to do? As you can see I am a newbie on this!

Hi, I just got a studio 1555 and the fan remains on for me, too. I tried i8kfan (following the directions in this thread), (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=896232) but my computer freezes when I try to enable the i8k plugin.

Dellfan isn't approved for Studios, so I'm reluctant to use it. Would love some help.
