Hey guys,

I just recently purchased the Starling netbook and I have to say, its great!

The only issue I am having is with the wireless and its a rather bizarre one...

When I purchased the netbook I reinstalled the desktop version of jaunty onto it and once I rebooted I tried to connect to a wireless network and it connected. The problem is that even through it is connected, I cannot get online to do anything. Anyone know what's going on?

NOTE: I have tried multiple wireless networks, so there is nothing wrong with my network here. I also can get online just fine with other wireless machines.

Any help is appreciated guys.

Thanks.

How far are you from your access point? Try moving closer to it and see if you can browse.

This may sound weird, but have you checked /etc/resolv.conf to see what's in there? I had some connection issues after connecting eth0 to a LAN at college, and when I got home it kept putting the college's routing, DNS, and search information into there.

Just something else to check
