Questions on upgrading Darter

Hi, I've started using virtualization on my daru3 recently and I need to add some more RAM. What are the specs I should look for and is there a maximum amount of RAM the motherboard can handle?

Also, I read somewhere that the 8-cell battery sticks out on the darter, but I can't find where I read that. About how far does it stick out?

DDR2 800 MHz, 200-pin, PC2 6400 laptop memory.

Battery sticks out about an inch and a half and raises the back up a little.
