Have you guys tested the new Opera 10 Beta? I've been using it on Ubuntu and Puppy for 3 days now. It is fast (faster than FF) and stable. It has Turbo mode which makes it even faster (with noticeable loss in image rendering quality and problems loggin in to some sites which require password).

Feedback anyone?

It is running fine here, indeed some font rendering problems.

Yes, it's fast. I'm just having problems with flash. Flash videos and some other stuff aren't displayed properly.

Haven't tried Opera Unite yet, though.

Opera Unite is interesting, but useless.

Ginagamit ko na Opera 10 since Alpha and yes mas mabilis nga sya. Kaya ko lang ginagamit FF dahil sa mga addons nya na wala sa Opera. Other wise 100% opera ako.

OT: Any one here naka gamit na ng Midori? Its fast but very unstable.

I have MAJOR issues with image rendering in Opera 10b. Very grainy, pixelated, such that I really can't stand to use it much for my normal surfing -- facebook, php forums, etc. Any images with embedded text are rendered in such a way that the text is illegible. I end up reporting as a problem almost every site I hit. It doesn't even properly render my.opera.com.

_________

Edited to add: I figured it out: It's Turbo. Turn it off, and it renders normally. I guess that pretty much rules out the use of that little "feature" doesn't it?

Hahaha pretty much. But you know, I'm not experiencing that problem. The only problem I have with it is that my mplayer and vlc plugins aren't working at all. I use them normally on FF but with Opera 10b....they dont work. They are installed correctly but it's not working. I don't know if I need to make any adjustments or what. I really hate using firefox because it's molasses slow it it eats up my CPU like a spyware hahahha.

I find Opera faster and more stable than FireFox but there are some issues as was brought up earlier about some stuff in Facebook not working and a few other things.

If FireFox doesn't get it's act together for Linux and Opera fixes the issues, then I have no qualms about deleting FireFox and using Opera.

Been running the version with unity for days, no issues, its very quick in rendering, no doubt the presto engine works good. The HTML mail client works flawlessly.

I still miss a "NoScript" - alike extension and the possibility to block flash, like I could in firefox.

Let's keep in mind that this is still Beta. Hopefully, those kinks will be ironed out in the final release.
