OK I am running ubuntu 8.1 with no real problems. The wireless connects automatically every time i login. Even when I switch to KDE it usually connects. If I start firefox before the desktop is fully loaded then it does not connect. What is really frustrating is there is no way I can find to start the connection. I don't want to install knetwork-manager because network-manager seems to do fine. I just can't find network-manager in KDE to start it. I have tried using network-manager, network-manager-gnome in terminal but get command not found. So how do I set a network applet in the system tray in KDE? Why does network-manager quit if I start firefox too soon?
